My name is Kelly Beckta,
I’m a photographer.

Over the last 34 years, I have shot travel photography in over 100 countries across six continents, and I have had the pleasure of creating images for World Nomads, Lonely Planet, Intrepid Travel, Kathmandu, and Expedia. I have been lucky to work with some amazing people and I have had my photos published and displayed all over the world. In the last five years, I have had numerous images selected by National Geographic as photo of the day and won travel photography competitions including those sponsored by World Nomads, The Guardian, The Telegraph and The Times. I am incredibly grateful for these experiences because I am absolutely in love with travel photography, and it is incredible to be acknowledged for doing what you love.

In 2021 I founded Kelly Beckta Photography Tours so that I could share my love for travel and photography with avid photo enthusiasts from all over the world. Savouring art, food, history, and culture with tour groups in places like Dubai, Italy, Portugal, Spain, and Iceland when travel returns. For now, local workshops in the streets of Toronto will be great fun too, with lots of historical store fronts and colourful street scenes, having fun in our own backyard.

My blog Becktacular Time Travel was born out of my desire to keep traveling during a time of travel restrictions by reliving those retrospective travel moments over the last 34 years. Sharing my travel adventures and misadventures hopefully helps a few people in a big way or help lots of people in a small way that entertains, educates, and inspires because we are stronger together.

The idea behind my shop The Beckta Boutique is driven by my desire to be surrounded by travel all day, so I created unique one-of-a-kind fashions, personal and home décor items from my travel photography. Enjoy a day out in historic Lisbon, Portugal in the comfort of your Yoga pants compliments of Kelly Beckta Photography and have a Becktacular Time!

Canadian by birth but a nomad by choice, the truth is I love wandering the earth and taking a whole lot of photos along the way, there is a huge planet out there and it is calling my name, I hope to meet you on my Becktacular journey.

See you there,

Kelly
